Open Letter to the Pope

On 21 November 1983, a letter was dispatched to Pope John Paul II which history may compare to the letters of St. Catherine. In this letter, two bishops, Successors of the Apostles, listed for the Sovereign Pontiff the principal evils which are bringing about the "self-destruction" of the Church, a phrase first used by Pope Paul VI.
